Founder's Note
As a child, I was no stranger to self-doubt and stage fright, two formidable adversaries. Yet, I persevered.
I delved deep into my own experiences, questioning the origins of my insecurities. I soon realized that upbringing, environment, and life events played a pivotal role in nurturing these doubts. These insecurities can strip away your confidence, leaving you vulnerable, no matter your talents.
Growing up in India, where preconceived notions and status battles are commonplace, these insecurities are deeply ingrained. Centuries of British rule left behind a legacy of pulling others down to assert superiority.
In my early twenties, I managed to conquer my fears and emerge as a better version of myself. However, 2020 had different plans. Mask-induced acne became my constant companion, fueling social anxiety and shattering my confidence. I retreated from public gatherings and shied away from friends. I tried numerous skincare products, all promising to cure my acne, but none delivered. Every negative comment about my skin felt like a crushing blow. I even began to fear taking pictures.
While the physical toll was bearable, the emotional burden was overwhelming. Those who hadn't experienced such a situation could never truly understand. Amidst these struggles, I was coping with the failure of my first startup, which had drained my finances. Anger became my default response to life's challenges.
Amidst this tumult, I discovered solace in spiritual practices, affirmations, meditation, prayer, fitness routines, and yoga. These practices transformed me mentally, even if my skin's condition remained unchanged.
Now, let's talk about the acne. Scientifically, Vitamin A, specifically Retinol (Tretinoin), is the go-to solution. I had tried virtually every acne product on the market, but none seemed to work. Even with Retinol, I couldn't achieve the desired results. What truly worked was the fusion of scientific knowledge and Ayurveda, combined with intermittent fasting. It took me years to unlock this secret.
This transformative journey made me realize that I wasn't alone in my struggles. Many people faced similar challenges, and there was no organized, structured resource to guide them.
From this realization, Dear Me was born. Our mission is to provide top-quality skincare products that blend the wisdom of Ayurveda with the precision of science. We infuse self-help practices, creating a holistic approach to battling insecurities.
Our first product, Sacred Secret, is the result of 276 days of meticulous formulation and 47 samplings. We source authentic ingredients from their respective authentic sources.
The results? Truly unbelievable.
We're not rushing into launching a complete product range. Instead, we focus on perfecting individual products before bringing them to the market.
